Please join us Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Overland High School at 6PM as we celebrate our 8th graders! Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony. More details will be posted soon.
Tickets are not required for the event. Families can bring as many people as they wish to help celebrate their continuing kids!
Requested dress code for continuing 8th graders is business casual. Slacks and polos are acceptable, as well as dresses and skirts. Please no ripped jeans, shorts, crocks, spaghetti straps, no midriffs showing, or mini skirts (the stage is above the seating). If your child chooses to wear heeled shoes, make sure they can walk up and down stairs and across a stage!

8th Grade Picture Day
Picture day is Tuesday, March 24th. We are asking all 8th graders to wear a white shirt of their choice with jeans for a group photo to ensure a cohesive look.

Commemorative Slideshow
We are excited to begin putting together a special commemorative slideshow for our 8th graders to be shown at the ceremony. Renata (Daniel's mom) has kindly offered to organize this project, and we would love for every student to be represented.

Guidelines for photo selection:
- Privacy and Permissions: We cannot include photos of individuals from other schools.
- Content Standards: All photos must be respectful and adhere to school dress code standards.
- Variety: We welcome a range of memories, including recent photos, favorite school moments, or pictures from earlier grades and group gatherings.
Please submit your photos by March 31st.
Time for the 8th graders to celebrate! We will host an optional celebration at Boondocks in Parker on Thursday, May 21st in the evening. Siblings are welcome to attend! Please note: We will be asking families to contribute funds toward the Boondocks event if their student plans to attend to help us cover the costs.

Teachers will be escorting our 8th graders for a day at Echo Park (details to come out soon) on Tuesday, May 19th.
